Re: Spring 09 weightloss
Congrats!
I forgot to weigh in last week! Ah well, I'm sure I was back up to my starting weight - I ate TONS of junk food. But after this weekend at the farm, I might be back on track. Weigh in tomorrow...I promise!

Re: Spring 09 weightloss
On the 29th of April I was 13 stone 13. I've lost 13pun in a week and a half, and all I've doe is take a pedometer to work and walk faster.
I walk to work (3.6 miles there, and same back - 7.2 mile total). I walk all day at work (between 8 and 13 miles, depending on how much work I actually do).
O the day I walked the furthest (just over 20 miles) I got home for my wife to announce she was taking the kids a walk, and I was expected to come:
I really need to stop eating sweets - I stopped for two months at the beginning of the year. I stopped fizzy juice then, too. Right now at least I've cut the juice down.
We're also eating healthier. It is surprising how well meal planning works. Meal times used to be a chore, but now they are something to look forward too. We were having the same processed crap every week.
Tonight we had a lovely chicken casserole. I'm also forcing myself to eat veg. I've ate mushrooms, baked beans and potatoes my whole life. Now I'm eating onions, carrots and baby sweetcorn, too.
But broccoli is disgusting!
Anyway, eat healthy and exercise, that's my advice and my plan. Good luck. Blessed be.

Re: Spring 09 weightloss
Yea! Keep it up. It takes perseverence, for sure.
Down two pounds (142), 7 more to go. It is slow. Even with switching to being a vegetarian, and watching portions, and eating no junk or processed stuff, it is still slow. But I am encouraged, and I feel good.

Re: Spring 09 weightloss
I just weighed here on my old delapidated scales, and I was 203-204. Not bad
Of course, about a pound of what I had before was the mass....so, that helped! LOL....HUSH UP TEXAS!!!
My goal is to get under 200 by the end of summer. If I make it before then, I'll set another goal for the end of summer.
I can sure tell I've been losing. I have a pink tank dress that the shoulders keep falling off of my shoulders now. One of my skirts I had to use the draw string and tighten it up some...that was before the surgery . I'm slowly getting there!!!

Re: Spring 09 weightloss
Broccoli is one of my favorite veggies as long as it's lightly steamed (preferably with some herbs). I can't stand it if it's been boiled especially if it's mushy! <shudders>
I took a internet break for a few weeks and I wish I could say I've done good...... but I haven't. I'm still the same weight and planning to get back with the program on Monday.

Re: Spring 09 weightloss
Ugh. 79 kg as I checked this morning. Worst I've been.
Now, I have great hopes that the retreat I've been to will help me in this field as well. Right now, however, I'm on sugar cravings.

Re: Spring 09 weightloss
I have found the best thing I have ever done for my health, is to recognize sugar from beet or cane, as toxic. We have none in our diet for many years, and everything health wise is now easier - losing weight is much easier without sugar. AND. . . I never get sugar cravings.
