Hello from McDade, Texas
Hello, I just found this space and I wanted to introduce myself, I'm William RainCrow. I'm a long time pagan. I've really only been active at it for the last couple of years, although I'd studied and been pretty passively pagan always. My partner, Cat Dancing, is an active Feri Wicca priestess, Tarot reader and artist, so when we got together in 2007 I jumped in with both feet! I've been working mostly as a draftsman in the steel industry since 1971. I have always gardened, done fixit and mechanic work, general handy work around home and farm, done a bit of farming, written-directed-acted in theater, I build Native American style flutes and recently got my Permaculture certificate. We don't really have much gardening room where we rent currently, and my commute to work in Kyle has me gone from dark to dark anyway.
I am planning to switch my career to something more based on sustainable living that will allow me to stay home much more and use my experience and skills to promote Permaculture and sustainable living. We have plans to have a place of our own to host workshops and retreats for teaching many subjects, including Feri, Tarot, Permaculture, and other spiritual/ecological subjects.
We are looking forward to meeting all of you!

Hi William,
welcome on board! Congrats for that certificate on Permaculture - how interesting! Good luck in finding your own place, I sure like your idea of what you want to do with it.

Hi William, and welcome to the Porch!
Wow...you sound like a busy soul, but busy in a good way.
You're like several of us here....we don't own our own place, so we have to make due with what we have for now.
Congrats on the Permaculture Certificate...sounds interesting! I imagine you'll have a lot to offer the gang here, and I hope we have a lot to offer you as well. I look forward to your posts.
Again...welcome to the board!!
--- Blessed Be,

Well, howdy from Canada!
So, tell us - have you decided what you want to do when you grow up? Me neither.

Re: Hello from McDade, Texas
Well, I just got word I'm being laid off tomorrow. (Ok, they told me last Friday.) Anyway, I'm not sure what I'll be doing next. I really want to do a different line of work and use my permaculture cert and other lines of experience to make a living, while making a difference. Guess I'll take a couple of weeks and re-group! Namaste!
