I've only been to Scotland once but it was just beautiful. There was one botanical garden I went to...wish I could remember the name...anyway, it was breathtaking!

Anyway, yes, Scotland is beautiful, but small. I'm constantly amazed by the size of America - I can't imagine driving five hours without seeing a town.

Good to see another Scot... I live in the USA, but come from Lochaber..
You can drive up to Cape Wrath, then drive a VW microbus south, and you will drive for 5 hours or more, without seeing a town.. I know, I did it years ago. Probably the roads have improved since then.
