Well, hello
I have never been one to introduce myself...usually lurk in the shadows until I am drawn out, but change is good, so here I am...
I am not foreign to forums, but I think this one may be a better match for me and mine...We've peeked in a time or two and bet this is a good place to be...
We close on Awen Wilde tomorrow, a sturdy tiny house and 19 acres with the sweet water close and large dinosaur rock grounding us...
Looking forward to meeting you all...
H

Hello there! Sounds like a great place to live! What are your plans for the land? What are you going to do first? So many questions!

Re: Well, hello
There are so many things to do it is hard to say what is really first!
We will be building a post and beam addition this summer, but right now (today...really gotta get off the computer and get busy!)I am reappropriating an old shed into a chicken house so we can move the girls and boys from the burnt down property ASAP. (We had a cleansing of sorts in January.) The goats will come as soon as my hubby isn't watching so I can sneak away and get their stuff ready! Then the raised garden beds and perennials, rock circle, bonfire pit...Oh, I almost forgot the donkey and mules...

Re: Well, hello
Hi and Welcome, Hazell!! So glad you found the board and decided to become a part of our family. I think we have the best board around.....but then I'm a bit biased...lol.
Your homestead sounds awesome. You'll have to keep us updated down in the Homestead Forum. I love hearing everyone's stories.....mostly because I have to live vicariously through you all!!
I'm a wanna-be homesteader. Maybe one of these days.
Other than goat kids, do you have any of the 2 legged human variety? If so, do you homeschool, or are they in public school?
I look forward to your posts and getting to know you better
Again....welcome to the board!!!!
--- Blessed Be,
~*~ Saijen ~*~
