Hello! Glad I found ya!
I got here from a signature in someone's post from another well-known homesteading forum that I visit daily. It's a great site, but it is overtly "Christian" themed, and it gets to be too much for me to stomach at times. I'm not Pagan, in that I don't necessarily believe in the existence of specific Gods and Goddesses, but I am very much nature-based and believe in the universality that can be found in many religions. Hopefully this forum is a good match! I look forward to snooping and then posting!

Hi Sapphyre! It's interesting when I see posts on HT where people complain that their Christian views are lambasted. I feel that it's a very Christian forum but others don't think it is! It's all perspective I guess. 
Your belief sound a lot like mine. I've come to refer to myself as pagan now just as an easy description though I'm a non-theist (don't have any Gods/Goddesses in my life) and don't follow any specific set of rules or a paths. Pagan is such a lovely big umbrella term that you don't have to fit anyone else's description really!

Wow! You knew I was from HT! Do you recognize my name? I'm fairly new over there, compared to many. And had to add "skye" as a last name here.

You'll find many non-traditional pagans here, myself included. I'm not even homesteading, even though that's always been one of my dreams. For now, I "farm" a balcony.

Hello, I'm yarrow (I too am on the HT board.. a lot of us are ) I live on a nubian goat farm, deep in the Ozark boonies.
Belief wise, I'm a *retired* Georgian High Priestess... years ago I turned in my athame for a hoe and headed to the woods LOL. No Gods or Goddesses really... I usually just call myself a wood wandering, tree hugging, hillbilly heathen..

Thanks you guys! I'm mostly in the S&EP forum over there, and poke my head in on the other forums once in a while. I don't post much tho. I've come very close to creating a new thread there asking why does it have to be Christian-based? It even says it is right at the top of the forum home page (and basically that if you don't like it, too bad). But I thought better of it and deleted my post.

I'm not a Pagan either, just a friend of many.
And cousin to Saijen.
A bit of history.
there was a member at HT that was Pagan, her name was Pythia and started the Pagan Homesteading board. Many of the people here joined and all was going good. Then Pythia got busy elsewhere, the PH site got hacked or something and it was a bit of time before back up, so Saijen and Firle made this as a backup.
Then later, PH just stopped and Pythia went and did other things, and this became the primary Pagan off shoot of HT for some, and it became it's own entity that was not directly an HT offshoot, just by history and twist and turns.
As to HT - you think it's too Christian, and there are Christians (or ones that claim to be) think it's too un-Christian as to someone that just left to start a 'real' Christian forum. Also, HT is a Homesteading board owned by a Christian, but fairly tollerant one.
So, as in most things, even BBS and forums are not what you expect, and may not even be what you think you're seeing, but something in between.
And yes, I'm at HT - but I think I'll let you guess who.
But welcome to Pagan Porch, Saijen and Firle and madness keeps a nice low key'd place here.
