Hi Sapphyre Skye I am southernfriedwiccan..its alot to type so most just shorten it to SFW. I am pagan but not wiccan, some of my beliefs stem from that but I just liked the play on words. I lurk a lot at HT my wife has an account but I just can't stomach the standard christian motto over there of " Its not a christian site but if you are not christian you are not welcome here."
I think we would all love to here more about yourself if you are so include. Welcome and I look forward to reading many posts from ya.

Hey there and Welcome, Sapphyre. I apologize for being tardy in welcoming you to the Porch. I've been incommunicado a wee bit while recouping from surgery. Fenyx...thank you for giving her the background  .
I started out just interested in a more natural path than Christianity...I am a former Christian. I did some reading and Paganism, to a point, seemed what I was looking for. Problem was, I had no one to bounce things off of, so, I started asking questions at a metaphysical store I frequented, and found a new, small group of ladies, and a gent or 2, that were about to start classes for first degree Wicca in the British Tradition. I honestly preferred to stay solitary, but the more I got involved in the classes, the more I enjoyed being a part of that group....so, I was eventually initiated into a coven that, at the time, had 2 members...the HP and HPS. Not long after, another classmate was initiated...by that time, the others had all fallen by the wayside. The HPS became my best friend, the HP my DH's best friend. Since then, the coven has been dimantled, but we still do a lot with our best friends, just the 4 of us. I'm pretty much back to being solitary..lol. But, with a lot more knowledge. Anyway...you don't have to believe like anyone else here to be accepted. Just be yourself, and enjoy the posts, and posting.
My DH and I currently rent a cute lil farmhouse on 100 acres. The landlord runs a hobby cattle farm here, and DH helps now and then. We don't exactly homestead, as we can't have the animals we'd like, but we do grow a rather good size garden every year, and I do a LOT of canning to preserve what we grow. DH also hunts in the fall so we do our best to keep the freezer stocked with venison (which I prefer over beef!!!).
We have 2 dogs, a wolf/malamute mix and 3 cats that claims us as their people.
I think I'll shut up now.....LOL.
Again..welcome to the board, and I really look forward to your posts and getting to know you better!!!
