Weather
Today is one of those awesome days that make a person glad they're alive.
The sun is shining, a strong wind is blowing and it's a bit cool in the shade, and wonderful in the sun.
I had to run into town a few hours ago, and the external thermometer on my car said it was only 75 degrees outside the car. I'd say that's about right. PERFECT camping weather!!!!!
We still have green leaves on the trees. Nothing has really started to change yet. You may see a couple of yellow leaves here and there, but not many. It's supposed to be nice all week, which is a good thing since DH is going to refinish the hardwood floors in our bedroom and the front room which we use as a computer room/den. We have gotten all the furnishing out of that room, we just have our room to 'strip'. We'll be sleeping in the camper till the floors are done and we can get stuff put back where it belongs.
I think we're even going to see about getting a little bit of wood to have a fire in our chimenea a night or two while we're having to 'camp'. We'll probably get our room cleared out tomorrow since my DD is off work and can help.....so, most likely I'll be sleepin in the camper as early as tomorrow night. Good thing I have nice warm blankets and sleeping bags!!!!! hehe. It's going to be getting down into the mid to high 40's all this week. Just a wee bit on the cool side, but I've tent camped in cooler temps (of course I was about 10 years younger than I am now too!!LOL).
How's the weather where you are???

Re: Weather
Woohooooo! That sounds like lovely days!
Here, it was like that on Sunday, but I had to stay indoors, in my practice room. Yesterday, the weather turned to rain, while still somewhat warm. It's still raining today, which has me somewhat miffed. No fun to ride the bike in rain.
Ah, well. Fall is here, with the first acorn tree in the yard sporting bright red leaves. Some yellow on the trees, but I do hope for some more warm days yet before we go into a really cold and wet November.

Re: Weather
Here in Northern Michigan Autumn has arrived with a blast of cold air from the north. Frost is predicted for tonight. The leaves have just begun to change and there is still so much to do to prepare for Winter. Any others from up north?

Hmmmm..... I guess I need to read more of the forum before I respond
As I just posted about 30 seconds ago in your welcome thread, we are trolls originally, have lived in da U.P. for the last four years and are now moving back to troll land. Only 8 more days left to get everything done! <we need a fainting smiley>

Re: Weather
Much cooler temps at night than we expected, but not too awfully bad. We're in the camper, but just using a sheet and 2 polar fleece blankets and we're staying fairly warm. We've not used a heater yet. Only been in the camper for 2 nights so far, though.
Floor update in a thread titled floor.

Re: Weather
The Sun shone for Apple Fest but by the time I left work we were getting snow showers. It didn't seem to deter the tourists. Town was mid-summer busy! The temp must have dropped 20` since 6:00am. I guess it's time to start the furnace.

Re: Weather
We have had some pretty awesome weather the last several days. Lots of sunshine and I was able to open doors to let some of the Autumn air in.
While in the camper, however, we did have some horribly cold nights. I went and bought a small room heater that I just love. It kept the camper toasty, even on those low temp nights. It didn't hurt that at times we also had the sheet, 2 polar fleece blankets, a light-weight quilt and an opened sleeping bag on the bed at night. We never got cold.
I'm just glad I'm back in my bed, in the house now...even if we didn't get cold in the camper!
Today it's rainy off and on, but not cold. Temps in the high 60s, low 70s. I have the computer room door and livingroom door open letting in some fresh air.

Re: Weather
Today is a wonderful day! After weeks of drizzle, fog and low cloud cover, it's clear with sunshine and mild temps today.
I woke up full of energy, and since the sun pointed out how much it needed to be done, I washed the windows in my bedroom. (That took some daring work, as I had to step on the sill and lean out a little to wash the outer side of the top window which doesn't open. And I live on the fourth floor. Eeeek!)
I then mounted my bike and rolled down to the beach, where I gently pushed along the water line - and through the crowds - until I reached the end of the road (marine base there). Turned back uphill and home, with a stop for a mug of cocoa at a cafe along the way. Oooooooh, I loved every minute of it, soaking up the sun. Thank you, universe for this day!

Re: Weather
Has been good flying weather for the past two weeks. All the leaves have fallen. Hunting season has arrived with a bang! I have been taking my dog for a walk along the beach because right now the woods isn't the place to be. So I'm very happy about the above average temps for the middle of Nov. On Friday the thirteenth I had a bon-fire. It got chilly but that clear sky was awesome for star gazing.

Re: Weather
Today, we're having the first strong gale in November. Rain, driving hard by strong winds - no fun to be outside.
This is the time to curl up under a blanket, sip tea and read a nice books. Ideally. I'm spending my time at the computer...
