Eeeek! That's about the worst time for a frost. Hope you can salvage some, and that a row cover is feasable.

Re: Ack! frost in August!
if it was just a freak frost, i think i will be ok. nothing died just burnt the leaves and dropped some fruit. not sure on the row covers. doing all this without watering means planting wide apart. means i need a lot of row cover to get it covered. also with it getting hot during the day i will need to take em off daily. dont know what to do while i am gone for 2-3 days each week for markets. but this was the experimental year and i am learning a lot. i will be better prepared and motivated next year

Re: Ack! frost in August!
Oh gosh, heritage!!! I would have totally freaked out if we'd had a frost before November!!
I'm glad that is seems nothing was seriously injured or killed. That is always a real downer when you've worked so hard to get your garden going, then something destroys it...be it no rain, too much rain, bugs, critters, or frost
Hope everything goes ok from this point forward!!!

Re: Ack! frost in August!
Wow, how different parts of the world are! Are plants looked somewhat similar, but the "burn" is from the sun and not frost! We've been over 100F for over 2 months now. Finally got 7/10" of rain though. First rain in months!
Hope things recover quickly!
