Re: Why?
Fun stories. All of them. Debbrah, likely you know this already, but in ancient Hebrew Deborah means Queen Bee. A Deborah would have been a high priestess and going back to before Hebrews became Yahwey worshippers or when the ethnic group was matristic. Same is true, by the way, of the proper noun Melissa which, in Greek, also meant Queen Bee.
Anyway, the story of my name is not so colorful. Many years ago I decided to register a whole bunch of material with the Copyright office. For some reason I wanted a pseudonym. After months of thinking on it Terreson finally came to me. Fast forward a good decade and when I came online Terreson came with me. But I actually enjoy a couple of other screen names more. Sextus P is always fun. It tends to raise eyebrows until I explain it is taken from a favorite Roman poet, Sextus Propertius. And Trickstertales is for when I am in a trickster kind of mood. Consider yourselves forewarned.

Re: Why?
I use falconer in another forum, but it was already taken here, so I shortened it to falconr.
I'm a 53 yr old male who has had my share of bad luck of late. Pride has a bad taste after I got hurt on the job and can't work anymore.
My one passion is falconry. I haven't been able to pursue it for last few years because of head injury. It took alot of memory away.
Words are hard to come up with when talking and writing, so if I write something that doesn't make sense, please feel free to ask me.
Any other falconers out there?
Take care,

Re: Why?
falconr, I am terribly sorry to 'hear' that you were injured to the point of not being able to work. I am also in that position, although my injuries weren't from a job, but rather a volunteer position with a fire department, as well as just life in general.
Don't fret about not being able to think of the right words here. Most of us are pretty adept at figuring things out, and, if we can't, we will ask.
I do like how you came about your name. I would love to hear more about what a Falconer is/does.

Re: Why?
I have been using southernfriedwiccan or some version there of for years now.
It has no meaningful story. I wanted an online pagan name so I created one. It kinda just popped in my head. At the time it fit me fine. First I did consider myself wiccan. Now I am not sure what I consider myself but it is definately not wiccan. Two it shows my down home pride(GODS SAVE THE SOUTH! ) and it tells some of my whimisical devilish nature, since yall can't see me smiling.
I have actually been using i for so long the humor of it has worn off on me. It usually takes someone new meeting me and commenting on my name or something like this thread to remind me of it and how much I really do like my name.
Thanks Saijen for the great thread and reminder!
--- Bobby

Re: Why?
Hey Bobby...good to hear from you, and you're most welcome. Anytime
I'm with you on the wicca thing. I was initiated into a wiccan coven as a wiccan, but I don't think I was ever truly wiccan. I'm not sure what to call myself. I would really like to get into another group, but not necessarily a wiccan coven. Thing is, its just too hard to find anyone to do a group with unless I join a rather large group in the next big town over. I prefer to start kind of small. Anyway...this is WAYYYY off topic..sorry about that.
I do like your name. It's whimsical, and has that southern charm (and I know that's charm cause I'm Southern LOL )
Anyone else???

Re: Why?
When I registered Zephra I was told there was a Zephra, so I'm 2. It is a name I took with my Croning ceremony two and half years ago. My latest name throughout my learning and growing as a Wiccan. Like the wind I change. From Maiden to Mother to Crone.
