Pagan/Ancient Symbols
I've always been fascinated by symbols. I think it centered mostly around Egyptian and Mayan hieroglyphs, and Chinese characters. My grandfather spoke Chinese and I used to marvel at the books he had. It was so much like a secret language.
I also like symbols that are not part of a language set. They all fascinate me. Here's a great resource for looking them up:

I like to click on the Check out a Random Symbol link. And you get things like this!
This is a sign used by some alchemists for horse dung:
I'm so glad I know that now!
I also love to find symbols in everyday use that people might not even know what they mean. It's interesting to me that the same symbols are repeated so often. Do you see this often too?

Re: Pagan/Ancient Symbols
LOL...if the symbol for horse dung is a nice looking symbol, then who else has to know what it's a symbol for? LOL...
Or, you could tell someone that is admiring it what it means, then explain that you use natural fertilizer on your garden, and that horse hockey is like using cow manure, especially if the horse is not only barn fed, but pastured in a good field. Horses eat pretty much the same stuff cows do, even down to the sweet feed. Just good natural stuff. GREAT for the garden!!!!
