Please keep Wizard's friend Mark- who has passed away
I received a message from my good friend Wizard today. He is gone to be with his friend Mark's family and don't know when he will be returning. Here is the message I received from him today...
I'm going to be away for a while, I've just received some news that one of my very good friends and army commrade who I served with in the parachute regiment when we re-took the falkland islands has died.
I've not long got in from work when sarah told me she had some news that I needed to know. At first I thought it was family but after sitting me down she gave me the news.
Sarah has always had a good understanding about my career in the army past and present, without her I'd never got over my PTSD I was suffering from after the return home and after I left the regiment. Normally women say they're husbands were their rock but in this case she is mine.
My good friend Mark died this morning from a blood clot in his lungs, this is all I know from what information we've received. Until I visit his wife and family I'll get more information etc.
To lose someone close to me and like this has kind of left me sort of numb, my concern is for his family as we always stick together through thick and thin no matter what civilian life throws at us.
I'm a little too upset to explain more but please pass on to others that I won't be around most of next week in case they are wondering where I am.
