Thanks for your kind words here my friend. I'm always happy to hear from you. Yes I happy to have a job right now since so many are out of work as it is. But it was a hard 6 mos before I got this. I'm hanging in there that's for sure. Wouldn't be any fun otherwise. Right?

Keep that beautiful smile of yours showing even though you are having tough times at the moment Margie. I know what's like to be out of work for a long time. When I left the Army I was out of work for nearly a year !!

The love and support of my family and especially my friends and Army pals kept me together. Just the simple things were getting me down but they were always keeping my spirits up. I was down in the mouth for a while but did keep smiling even though I was going through a very difficult time.

People around me would look up or say to my wife, he is coping very well and is always in high spirits, showing a brave face under the circumstances and all that. I always abide by this saying....

A friend walks in when the rest of the world walks out

You'll be fine Margie, I know you will cause your a fighter and your heart is strong.

Have been sick and didn't know it

Thanks Wizard, it's been a rough couple of months here now since I found out I had kidney stones again. I'm not looking forward to having surgery again because it's not fun. I'm getting older and want to retire one day soon. I will be 62 next Sept but have no idea if I want to quit working altogether or not. I 've to think about how much things will cost and I know it won't be cheaper either. I have a job but don't have to kill myself doing it either. Nothing is written in stones as they say. My boss is my son's age 30 and he is okay not mean either. But sometimes one doesn't know what one wants to do here. I'm happy to have family and friends to help me out when I need it to. That's what life is all about. Right? I will be strong and make it through the hard times because I have done it before.

I'm very upset with my doctor today she say that the doctor up in Iowa City say I don't need surgery or won't even look at me. Decided to put me on a low salt diet but I'm still in pain. I can't eat anything without upsetting my stomach. So I'm going for a second opinion on this matter. My left side hurts most of the time and I can't sleep. Now what do I tell them at work, they're expecting me to go for surgery and I feel like I lied to them. Isn't fair at all either. I was very pissed about this whole thing, who won't be???
