Met Tony Moran and Richard Brooker!
Florida Extravaganza was in town this weekend and I volunteered to help out at the event. For the first couple of hours of my shift, they had me working security (like I'm at all intimidating). I just had to patrol around the vendor booths and make sure that everyone had a badge.
I met Batman in disguise as a door guard, and then later saw Batman himself during the convention.
For the last 2 hours of my shift, they had me sit at the autograph table with Tony Moran, who played Michael Meyers in the Halloween movies. He was really nice, and very personable. Right next to me was Richard Brooker, who played Jason Voorhoies in the Friday the 13th movies. Next to him was Robert Englund, who played Freddy Krueger.
I didn't get to meet Robert, but Richard was also really nice. Also at the con were Erin Moran (Joanie from Happy Days), whom Tony tells me is his sister, Anson Williams and Don Most (Potsy and Ralph Malph from Happy Days), Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca from Star Wars)--he is one incredibly tall dude!), a couple of folks from the newest Harry Potter film, Cindy Williams (Shirley, from Laverne and Shirley), David Carradine (King Fu and Kill Bill), and lots of others.
It was really interesting to see the behind-the-scenes action. I may volunteer again next year if I can.
Okay, geeky, true, but it was still lots of fun!

The line to meet Freddy was pretty long. You actually had to buy tickets to speak to him, but it looked like he really enjoyed meeting everyone.
They were all really neat guys. They just played bad guys....

Never saw the movies so have no idea who those two were...lol Only one I know was Robert Englund.

I saw him on Identity a short lived evening game show (not sure if you are familiar with it) and he looked soooo tall. No wonder Chewbacca was so big. I never imagined the guy in the suit actually filled the whole suit, lol but he sure does. He was pretty soft spoken on the show too. I loved him as Chewbacca.
