Re: guns in school?
I'm sure the gun, not to mention the bullets will be very impressed by your argumants.

Re: guns in school?
Funny little discussion here for sure.
When all have guns and is the law that must be followed(few towns have that in place), almost no crime of any type is seen. Why? You will not mess with the other person at all, YOU KNOW THEY HAVE ONE TOO.
Respect doesn't come from the talker, it comes from the defense measures and fear that the other will harm you. Sad but true here and proven time and again in all aspects and countries.
If you take the weapons used to defend, the criminals are the only ones to win(governments are crooks too know that).
In countries that take the weapons from the innocent, they now can not defend against the bad element. Bad element wins by default. You will never stop the bad element from their methods without having stronger force than they have. That is nature, always geared to the stronger forces. Weapons are what give and keep the peace. AKA PEACE MAKER! Big gun, big peace. Biggest gun makes the rules.
Shame how many countries that took weapons and now have a much higher crime rate than before. Left defenseless, the innocent suffer. The bad element prospers highly facing the helpless.
Since time began weapons are what keeps the rules and assists in making a productive society. Lacking and those you would not have a voice or choice.
Sheep die at the hands of the wolf every day. Give one sheep in each flock an uzi and the wolf will hunt elsewhere.
Just my 2 hollow pointed cents worth.

Re: guns in school?
I could talk on and on about this subject but I won't because those who want weapons and those who don't will never find a middle ground so, let's just agree to disagree (offers handshake).

Re: guns in school?
Each has their own views on any issue. That part is always acceptable. I have lived in many rough areas all over the USA, my knowing from seeing is what I base this on. Funny, I do not even own any guns I dont need one. Even in the rougher areas, I never owned one and didn't find a need for it. Most I do suggest that live in those, keep one loaded and handy at all times for safety alone.
I am not saying they should be in school kids hands, but in the public schools here in this city the thugs have them period. For me the teachers should have them and be willing to use them. Too many here face these thugs with no chances. Schools fail to moderate the population of children and weapons here. Parents of those kids fail even more.
What ever happened to old fashioned ass whoopin'? I'll answer that myself. Parents fail again to teach winning/learning and punishment to fit you crimes at home. When you miss that part, those kids end up as the thugs in school with the guns. They never were taught respect 1st and how to handle the issues that come from a fat mouth in lack of that respect. Kids think that they will get the respect from the gun,...aka thug kids that cant take their medicine for their stupidity. Failing parents are the main cause there.
Just my view,..and it too means little to anyone but me.

Re: guns in school?
If you think you have thugs in schools in the US, try looking at what happens in our schools.
My son is a teacher at a very reputable public school in a very wealthy area of Johannesburg. At the end of last term, just before the winter break, a few (I'm not sure how many) boys were expelled - seniors about to write their final exams, for sexually abusing girls in the corridors of the school.
One of the girls reported them, and then the rest came forward. These aren't gangsters, these are the children of wealthy executives!
In our poor schools, kids get raped in bathrooms by their classmates and teachers are threatened with knives.
We have 20-year-olds still at school because our Constitution says that education is a 'right' so there's no age limit on people being in school. Our age of majority is 18, so in theory these people are full adults so they're allowed to smoke on school premises and openly bring mj onto school property and then threaten anyone who tries to discipline them.
And they have the ruling party's 'youth brigade' behind them so there's nothing anyone can do.
Our streets are a nightmare. You never go out in the street openly displaying any valuables like jewelry or cellphones because you'll get knifed if you do. You stay out of quite public places and public parks are no longer there for the enjoyment of the general public, they're the hangout of street gangs.
We surround our homes with electric fences, have big dogs and armed-response security because the people who invade our homes think nothing of killing the resident just to take a cellphone.
For this reason, thinking people don't have guns because if a gang breaks into your home and you point a gun at them, they'll take it from you and then kill you and your family with it. If you shoot them, the police will charge you with murder, and even though you're allowed to plead self-defence, they still have to arrest you and put you in jail until you can be bailed out, during which time you stand the chance of being murdered, or worse, there for killing one of the 'brothers'.
So no, we'd rather not have guns.
The people who do have guns here are the ones who believe that they are superior to the rest of the population because they are either 'pure African' and need to drive the 'white trash' out or because they think that 'God' 'chose them' and that 'He' will 'give their homeland back to them' after the scourge he sent to them i.e. AIDS has wiped all of Ham's children off the face of the earth.
The more sensible of us don't want to sit in either camp, so we don't have guns.
And the thing about public schools and the problem of what happens to kids, thankfully, I don't have grandkids to worry about.
