As posted previously, normally we are open the first week of the month but this can change.
I'd say your best bet is to post your intention to join here and they will contact you when they open the board to new members. That's worked best in the past anyway.

I sent a request to join sg a few months ago, ( I forget which) during the first week but I don't think I was accepted, even though I was told that since I used to be a member I would be
I'm going to try again in September, how will I know if I'm accepted? Will it automatically let me in or would I need to do something?
