Congratulations, susanababy!

susanababy has been kind enough to answer the same set of question I send to every winning board owner (and which you all are very familiar with by now, I bet). Once again, there's a lot to learn from the replies. emoticon

~~1. What made you decide to start a board?~~

Well, it's a sad story really, I used to belong to George Michael's officals forums, it was the first and only forum I'd ever been on...... I made loads of friends there, until one day George Michael comes on and posts to tell us he was closing the board, and for us all to get lost (yes a temper tantrum LOL) So once it closed, I wanted to start my own board, one that wouldnt close down, I just loved the feeling of being part of somewhere and something......

~~2. What made you choose Runboard?~~

Well I actually tried one out before runboard. but the layout was so confusing, then I came across runboard on google, it was user friendly (needed to be with a computer dummy like me)and that's how it started...

~~3. What's your target audience?~~

Anybody and anyone, all are welcome at Susana's World.

~~4. How did you get people to join? How did you advertise your board?~~

I went round threatening people to join, and if they didn't I told them I'd post all there deepest darkest secrets....Well not really LOL!! I used to belong to PTC, reading emails, I got a few members from sending out my board link.. but mostly from advertising on The Advert and Runboard Directory, and people clicking my signature from spamming...oops mean joining other boards.......

~~5. What's the central theme of your board?~~

Hmmmm, well, I like to think of it as a getaway place, somewhere you can have lots of fun.... Oh yes there's serious topics too. Just want it to be one big happy family..

~~6. What are the board rules and how important are they?~~

The rules are simple, as well as runboard rules.. It's just to respect every member there, HAVE FUN! Oh and most importantly Staying away from my choclate stash....now that one's very important to me.....

~~7. How important is the look and feel of the board? Or, is content and member involvement more important?~~

Don't get me wrong here, I love the layout of my board now, and I've had some great people help me out to achieve it, but the most important thing here is it's members, I like them to feel comfortable and welcome there..

~~8. How do you keep interest up?~~

Plain and simple. Just keep posting myself......

~~9. What's the best feature of your board?~~

My new fortune cook-ie, like to know whats gonna happen......No honestly, the best feature is its members...

~~10. What are your plans for the future, boardwise?~~

Hmmmmm to take over Runboard. It's ok there'll still be a job for Thor, I like lots of coffee........ Really though, to keep Susana's world alive and kicking...

~~11. What would be your advice to a new Board owner? ~~

Wow, my advice would be.... Have fun creating it..... And to post, if you want it to work then you have to work at it..it's no good setting it up and sitting back........ Advertise on the Runboard Directory and such places..... Keep the interest going with new topics, put your heart in it, cause it really does pay off....
