Re: Global Warriors
In the 60's we had brown clouds ove4r every city. Not only did your eyes and lungs burn but your skin. Acid rain ate the paint off cars. A real problem. We took care of it.
In 2008 both polar ice caps grew in size. Record breaking colds were reported all over earth. Ice blocked major rivers causing flooding. We are in the middle of April and Denver is digging it self out of 4 feet of snow. There is a polar bear baby boom in the East Artic. Global Warming!? Please.
Obama needs no help stealing $2 trillion in carbon tax from us to futher his Marxist agenda. Lenin had a name for ones as you, Useful Idiots.

Re: Global Warriors
Most well read people know that Global Warming causes extreme cold weather and the Polar Ice Caps shrunk 23% in 2008 with a total so far in 2009 1,200 cubic miles lost. Google NASA and look up pics from space from 2002 to the present and you can see the loss from the Ice Sheet alone. The next section that is breaking away currently to fall into the sea is the size of Texas. The rise of the oceans around the world is due to the melting of the ice caps.
As for the brown clouds over every city where do you live? I travel a lot and see the same brownish yellow clouds over those same cities so what exactly did we take care of again.
Do you even know what Marxist is?
We have a name for blind people that pull facts with no basis out of their collective asses. We call them Lemmings as all they can do is follow the twit in front of them.
Sorry Wiz but I can't tolerate stupidity.

Re: Global Warriors
Just to come back to Earth Day and the question of global warming.
I think that having lived through more than a few decades of changing seasons, I can speak with a little authority from personal experience.
I don't remember winters in South Africa being as cold as they are now. In my lifetime, the first time I saw snow was in 1964. My mother who was almost 50 said that it was the first time she had seen snow, ever.
In the years after that, snowfalls became increasingly regular, the next big fall was 17 years later in 1981.
So, no snow for 50 years at least, then two falls in the space of 17 years and since the 1990s there have been noticeable falls, maybe not heavy but snow has fallen in SA almost every year since the 90s.
Also we are recording the highest summer temperatures since temperatures have been recorded.
These extremes of weather are an absolute indication of imbalance in the climate. If this trend continues, and if over the next 50 years, the summers in the southern part of Africa continue to get hotter at the same rate, by 2050 nothing except the hardiest plants will be able to live in the southern part of Africa in the summer and the winters in the northern part of South Africa will be colder.
What does this mean? It means that more and more people will be moving to more moderate climates, wherever they are, placing more strain on the resources of those areas and the areas with unstable climates will be lost for habitation. This could happen over the next 100 years.
If the world's population continues to grow, imagine how overcrowded places with moderate climates will become.
It's up to this generation living in this time to do whatever they can by stopping the burning of fossil fuels and doing whatever else can be done to stop the trend.

Re: Global Warriors
Maybe the population is what is going out of control.
With all the various sex enhancement drugs on the market the population is bound to grow much faster. And with that growth comes the need for more services, trucks, automobiles and so on
