A choker I made for a seashell. I made this choker last night out of one of the seashells I found while @ my mystical trip to the beach. I have other shells I can do this with, and am currently planning and scheming for them as well.
Re: A choker I made for a seashell. Oh, very nice!
Shells are such lovely organic shapes!
The one that you used looks like it was tossed around on the beach for a while- the sand and waves mellowed it out some.
It's nice when a person can look at something like that and read some of the objects history into it - that adds another depth to the aesthetic appreciation of it.
Re: A choker I made for a seashell. Thanks! Yes, shells always amaze me, especially when you can find them in such perfect condition. Some of them look like they're man-made even! But only Mother Nature could create something this beautiful.
I was originally just going to hang it from a single piece of hemp, and then I went..."waitaminute! I can make something prettier than this!"
I didn't want to put too many other things in the braid, so as not to take away from the shell itself.
