Fractal Art

Fractal art is computer generated art using mathamatical equations to get different looks. Thankfully, they have programs for people like me that math wasn't a good subject, and all we have to do is move triangles or push some buttons to get new and different looks.

Enjoy.

This one is called 'Stones Emergence'.

I have others, but they will have to wait until I remember how to change a few things on them.
The program used on these is called IFTP. So far, it's not been seen again anywhere on the internet. It is a program that was created for handicapped people as a therapy tool. I=International F=Fractal T=Therapy P=Program.

Re: Fractal Art

Those are beautiful!

I really like "Stones Emergence," because generally, when I see fractal art, it's very symetrical, or has repeating patterns. "Stones Emergence" has patterns in it, but over all it seems to have a more natural, chaotic quality - sort of like order in chaos - which is really appealing. It just "feels" right, like nature.

And the one titled "Moon Rose" is absolutely gorgeous! It has such depth and clarity!

I used to have a fractal program that I played around with, but it never produced anything like those. Don't loose that program! You use it so well...

Thank you so much for the compliment, Corbin!! I love doing fractal art as long as the program doesn't confuse the wits out of me..lol.
I have created 3 new pieces in the last few days. This first one you have to REALLY have an imagination for.

'Hen and Chick'

'Fern Coral' (Is there such a thing???)

'Fantasy Wings' (Dragon Wings, perhaps?)

LOL - yup, the "Hen and Chick" I didn't get at first, but since you told me to exercise my imagiantion, I looked at it again and then BAM! there it was emoticon . Thjey look like they are made out of crystals...

The "fern Coral" amazes me. It looks too much like a fern to be produced by a mathamatical program... but there it is. Very Nice!

"Fantasy Wings" is beautiful as well - it's like the wings of an animal (maybe a dragon?) in flight. Very nice color choices there, by the way.

That's actually what I thought when I first saw the picture - I thought it was like my stone photographs and was just a close up of some crystal formation!

Great work Saijen.

Re: Fractal Art

Thank you, Texas! I'm just glad I found the program again and am back to making MY kind of art. I have really missed creating the fractals.

Corbin, thank you! I work and work at getting color combinations that I think look nice for the piece. Sometimes, that takes longer than creating the piece...lol.
I was so pleased when I got the fern look that I almost did the happy dance in my chair. When I had this program before, I never got this kind of result, no matter how hard I tried. Now, it just seems to come to me without a struggle.
The wings, with the colors, dragon was the only animal I could attach to them.

I need to get busy and get some more done.

Thanks y'all for the comments and compliments emoticon

I see the idea of dragon wings, but to me that one screams seriphem...

Now that you mention it, DebbrahF, it reminds me of one of Madeleine L'Engle's books - there was a seriphim that was all wings and eyes and swirls... a more accurate description, if I remember correctly, than the little baby faced angels you usually see.

Re: Fractal Art

You're welcome... I also read L'Engles books, so I'm pretty sure that is why I remember that is what they are traditionally supposed to look like.

And De Cobin, feel free to drop the F. I added it because someone beat me to Debbrah.
