Finally got a new camera!!!! Well, I've been limping along with a second generation digital camera for quite a few years - 4 megapixels, and impossible to make any manual adjustments.
So... using my need to photograph my art as a flimsy excuse, I got a new digital camera, and I'm really excited about it.
I didn't go all out and get a digital SLR because I already have a 35mm SLR, with lenses, and if I need to mess around with lenses, I'll use that one.
What I did get is a Kodak Easyshare Z1015 IS Digital Camera. It has manual overrides and manual focusing modes for the kind of things I need to shoot, but it also has some nice automatic modes.

I have a Kodak Easyshare C813...8.2 megapixels, and I LOVE it. You will be so amazed at the difference in the quality of the pictures you take, you won't want to stop!!
Did you get an SD card to go with it? If not, it's a really good idea to get some new ones. It's SO much easier to pop the SD card into the computer than to use the USB cable and download from the camera. Not to mention it helps you to keep from losing photos off the camera.
