Winter "Make a Dragon" Contest
Heads up to anybody who might be interested -
Sometime between Christmas and New Year's Day I'll be making the official announcement of the first annual Winter "Make a Dragon" Contest.
I'm working on some Sterling Silver jewelry to give away as prizes (three - first, second, and third). As soon as I get them done, I'll give the formal details...
But for now, the idea is (for anybody who wants to get a head start) is to create, in any media, a dragon themed piece of original art. The only limitations are that it must be the artist's original design, and original work, AND it must have been done sometime during the winter of 2008-09.
Deadline for submission will be the last day of winter, 2009.
I'll set up an area specifically for submissions, and post photos of the prizes, and write up the formal rules in about a week. In the mean time, feel free to spread the word!
If this goes well, I'd like to try more motivational contests in the future! Any ideas for future themes would be appreciated...
What do ya think? Sound like fun?

Re: Winter "Make a Dragon" Contest
Sounds great!
I'm wondering if you shouldn't have anonymous submissions - have people PM you the link to their work. Then you can post everyone's work in one post and have people vote based on a number instead of a name. (do we get to vote or are you choosing? )
But just having people post their own work would be fine too. Just something to think about!
