Kashaku's submission This is a dragon pentacle I drew with coloured pencil and ink on an 11x17 multi-media illustration board (the technical name escapes me atm, starts with a "G" tho lmao).
The dragons of light and darkness are resting on the pentacle. Taking a nuzzling break from keeping the balance between light and dark. I drew them nuzzling and holding claws as a representation of me and my husband (we are both practitioners of draconic magick). They are surrounded by stylized draconic elemental runes. My artist mark stands proudly in the upper corner ^.^
(unfortunately the colour scheme of the background doesnt match our altar so it's up for sale for 50$ )
Re: Kashaku's submission beautiful! That's actually close to one of the ideas I had, before I changed my mind lol! and now that I'm on Spring Break (woohoo!) I can actually get to work on the thing!
Re: Kashaku's submission Very nice! The dragons are extremely well rendered - particularly the little back spikes that curve around where the tails wrap! And also the way the pentagram is broken at the crossover points, but still holds together as a single unit.
Very nice!
Thanks for entering!
P.S. I also really like using pen and ink, then coloring it with either colored pencils or water color - it produces a very nice effect.
Re: Kashaku's submission Thankie, I just luv the contrast effects of ink and pencil. A lot of my works are done greyscale pencil with red ink accents (in the case of blood and/or eyes). I may do that with the remake of this one. Unfortunately the purple didn't match our altar nor living room the way I hoped it would. Gotta do it with a silver background next time heh. One major alteration and this will be my backpiece tattoo when I finish my training ^_^
