hallo!
Hi everybody, I'm Carri Travis, and I paint fantasy and fairy art, and Goddesses of ancient religions.
I was pointed to this site by one of my pals on Etsy, where I'm part of the Fantasy Artists of Etsy group. I wanted to enter the Fairy Contest, so I'll be posting my pic here shortly. I have websites that are all about ME! lol, so I'll post them in the other part of this section.
I live in the Quad Cities, Illinois on the Iowa/Illinois border. Fantasy art is a tough sell here, if it isn't John Deere or cutesy country (though nothing wrong with that) it doesn't seem to fit in well where I live. So I travel out of the area in the spring, summer and fall and attend various celtic and pagan festivals and renaissance faires. I love going to shows and meeting people. I'm a social butterfly and with 15 years of customer service behind me, I'm either insane or have just gotten used to working with the general public. I have kind of a wacky sense of humor, and an eclectic taste in music. My boyfriend thinks I'm a spook, but he keeps me around, so I must be doing something right. Although the week before a show my house looks like someone hit the red button because NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING gets done around the house. We actually ran out of towels this week while I was preparing for my first show of the season...
okay, TMI! anyhoo, that's me, I'm pretty easygoing, laid back. I'm always looking at improving my art and finding new ways to showcase it. So here I am! Hope to connect with everyone here!

Hi Carri! Welcome to the forum!
Our family farm is in the John Deere/cutesy country area but I have found that there are usually a few gems here and there for artwork. You just gotta look hard for them!
