posticon intro de jour

Hiya! T'is I. Chain. I've come to steal yer women? No, no. that can't be it.

I've come to make a mess of things! Yeah, that's something I'm good at! Greetings and salutations and pay no mind to that smoke, billowing around me. It's just an experiment.

Welcome Chain! Since Corbin in the only mod here, it's the perfect place to run amok. He can't watch over us all the time! emoticon

Hey look everybody! Chain's here!

I'm not so worried about the smoke, I'm a bit more concerned with the little horns grwoing up on the sides of your head...

That and the reddish tint to your skin. Been leaning over the BBQ a bit?

By the way - were you born with a tail?

Well, you'd think so, what with all the mischief I get myself into. But no, actually. The tail came much later. emoticon

Nice to meet you chain...

Are you a witch, pagan artist?

Would like to see your works.

Re: intro de jour

I'm a practicing witch, have been for roughly 22 years, now. As for my artistry? I pretty much make junk.

I've wandered through the woods, out behind our house, and along the river to pick up interesting sticks and branches to make walking sticks or wands. I've tried my hand at a great many things, from macrame to blacksmithing, but don't have much to show for it.

In fact, I think I have maybe only a half dozen photos of things I've made. Kind of sad, when I realize that I've ruined...er, created hundreds of excellent specimens... or detritus as the case may be.

The thing of it all is, I like making things. I want to try new things, all the time, too. And after seeing some of de Corbin's creations, I'm in awe. Intimidated a bit, too. But I still like working with my hands and creating whatever feels right. Even if it's a paper weight. Or a door stop.

Do people even use those anymore?

Shhh... don't tell anybody, Chain, but the stuff I make isn't that hard...

Oh shoot... now I've blown my reputation.

Well. I night as well let you in on another little secret you might find useful. Do you remember in Indiana Jones and the Lost Ark when the bad archaeologist is talking about how a cheap watch, if buried in the sand for a couple of thousand years, ends up being a valuable artifact?

Well, whenever I make things that don't turn out, I dig a big hole and arrange them in weird patterns, then bury them with a big pile of rocks on top.

It's my joke on archaeologists of the future emoticon

But then, it makes me wonder if the Egyptians maybe did the same thing...

Re: intro de jour

hehehe emoticon

I'm still fully intent on making a bunch of round tuits. So that I can get started on some of the stuff I haven't yet begun to dabble at.

Right now, I mean, like today, I have to spend a lot of time sitting, since I put in a few hours work yesterday with the pressure washer. That would be a good time for working on certain crafts - what am I doing? I'm on the computer, instead.

So.. when I get a round to it...
