I was born with a tail
...not really
but If I was, it would be a mermaid tail!
...so I'm neither really an artist, or a craftsperson...but I dabble in making things out of things I find, and I scrapbook and take pictures and repaint objects, and do various whatnot sorts of projects (quilts, blankies for the home, wreaths, etc)...
I consider myself to be an excellent knicknack arranger...

It's great to see you here!
Wouldn't it be fun to have a mermaid tail? I don't swim as much as I used to, so I'd probably be better off with some kind of lizard thing to balance me when I chase after bugs, but, if I DID have a mermaid tail (well, merbutler tail), I think I'd like it...
Anyway, I'm glad you're here. One of the reasons I thought this kind of forum would be a good idea is that a lot of people like to play around with art and craft, and, what I've noticed about myself is that when I show my work to people and talk to people about it, I enjoy it a lot more, and I end up doing better work.
There are some things that should only be done by professionals (cleaning septic tanks comes to mind immediately), but art isn't one of them. Not everybody can be a Da Vinci, but everybody can - and should - enjoy using their hands to create. It's one of the better parts of being human (along with enjoying a nice beer every now and then)  .
