Section Description
If you are an artist or craftsperson, then art and crafts has some importance in your life. Even if you just dabble a bit, it's going to occupy a certain amount of your mental real estate.
Tell us what you think, and discuss your ideas with others.
Please remember that a certain amount of controversy is necessary in art to keep it from stagnating - but avoid making sweeping generalizations about specific types of art (for example, typing "Abstract art is what monkeys do when they run out of bananas" is inappropriate).
Remember to explain your reasoning as clearly as possible so that others will know just what it is that you mean. Statements which are supported by explanations and examples are much more useful than vague generalizations.
DO NOT use this section to make direct attacks on the work of other people using this forum, although you can critique the work of well know artists.
So "Corbin's art looks like it was produced by a particularly dim and highly intoxicated troll" is, although funny, not allowed. However, "Andy Warhol did more to damage the arts than any other artist of modern times" is allowed, provided you explain your reasoning.
Keep your temper! Remember, controversy keeps the arts alive.
