Coffee baristas wearing pasties upsetting people

I saw an article about this on the TV the other day.

http://www.thenewstribune.com/opinion/story/369854.html

Synopsis:
The article talks about how there is a national trend where coffee house baristas are wearing less and less clothing on the job. There are few complaints when it is just a bikinis being worn but some of the establishments now have the baristas wearing pasties instead of a bikini top. This has started some controversy.

Specifically a chain of stores called Chick-a-Latte are the innovators here and are upsetting a lot of people.

Hmmm.... scalding beverages and naked flesh... Yeah, no potential problems there... emoticon emoticon emoticon [I think we need an emoticon for "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"]

As for the offended customers: a Mr. Coffee and a can of Folger's cost the same as two venti half-caf soy lattes and produce 20x the java in the comfort of your own home, which you can now afford because you're no longer lining the pockets of the Seattle-based greed machines.

The original topic's in there somewhere, I swear.

This type of sales promotion has been used in a lot of different types of business and has been very profitable.
If people don't want to see it, go to starbucks, they are probably the ones that are complaining the most, it is cutting into their business the most.
The fastest way to get rid of your competition is to go to the city council and complain on a morality issue.
What I see is a smart business owner capitolizing on a marketing concept that has been proven to work forever.
There is not anything close to this in my small town but there is a starbucks. Makes me want to open one right next door.

In response to a plan to open a Hooters on one of the main streets in Portland (Maine), an ordinance was past prohibiting any franchise eateries other than those already established. The coalition of established franchises and the politically correct successfully stopped it. In Portland the religious right is almost non-existent; it was not involved.

My solution for people to who dont like seeing those things in coffee shops is simple, dont shop there. They shouldnt be ruining the fun for other people just because they are stuck in the dark ages.
