How you got your first thong bikini
I was wondering if anyone had any interesting stories about getting and wearing there first thong bikini.
The first thong bikini I got was a pink WW 446 that my dad gave to my mom for there wedding anniversary a few years ago. Mom wouldnt wear it and a few weeks later was about to chuck it out so I grabbed it. I told my mom I was only going to wear it under my board shorts lol

My husband gave me my first one, I can't even remember where it was from, but it wasn't high-end. I wasn't that thrilled about thongs because, honestly, I don't think I have a great butt (it's big). But I humored him and wore it and it wasn't bad in the sense that I really didn't think about it. He gave me perfect scores in it and made sure I knew it so when went on a trip to Miami Beach at a store there we bought a couple for me (one for him ) where I had my first input into it. I've gotten a few more since, one WW, probably more from Bikini-Beach/Microkini-Beach than anywhere else.

I got my first thong bikinis when I was 14 just before summer hols. The bikini I bought the year before was awful and I only got it because I had outgrown my one-piece and was developing fast! In a spell of bad judgement I got one that covered everything (I was at that stage I guess) but had to be constantly fiddled with and was just uncomfortable and a rushed decision. I'd been wearing thong underwear for a bit and having seen a friend's sister in one the year before I really wanted one. A friend and I went shopping the week before and in a bit of a dare I bought a fairly modest thong. Couldn't wait to try it on at home and give my family a shock on holiday (they're pretty cool really and I knew they'd be fine really). However I was hooked and wanted a smaller one and in the airport shop just before flying I saw one I really liked and persuaded mum that I needed another bikini. It was a bit smaller and a nice purple colour.
Family didn't realise what I'd bought until the we arrived at the villa. Came down to breakfast in my new purple one feeling very excited and thinking I looked great. Unfortunately I had a price label sticking out and I thought they were s****ing at the bikini! My brother raised his eyebrows, sneered a bit and walked out (he got used to it). Dad smiled and asked for a twirl, and mum said it was lovely. Pheww. Got a bit of a lecture later from mum about the limits, etc. Appreciated the advice though .

I started in the late 80's with the thong leotards both for aerobics and for ballet and then shortly after went to thong panties and thong bikinis. I was lucky, I had two older sisters that had already broken in the parents, so I was able to start with the thong leos by the time I was 15.
My sisters would tan at our pool in thongs (back when thong bikinis cam up very high over the hips!). My mom joined them soon after, as did I. So it really was not difficult for me at all.
I also really like the thong one piece swimsuits, for swimming, or any other activity. I find they also get even more attention in public that thong bikinis, I guess because they are less common.

I don't remember how I got my first thong. I have been wearing them since I was a little kid. But my mom is French and my dad is American, so I have vacationed on French beaches pretty much everywhere - the French DO know how to run a beach. At Club Orient on St. Martin a couple of years ago, a cute girl in a yellow thong bottom was taking bar orders from beach patrons and bringing them beverages. I don't remember my mom (now well into her forties) EVER wearing anything on the beach other than a g-string bottom (unless it was a corporate function or something like that in Houston - my dad is in the oil industry). I have splashed in the Caribbean topless (and nude) with my mom, dad and French grandparents and IT'S NOT A BIG DEAL! Except in the USA

When I was nineteen, I went with my roommate to a house her family had rented on St. Thomas for spring break. After arriving, we put our things away and headed to the beach where we found her mom in a yellow thong bikini. She was in her early forties but she had the figure to cary it off. As I was recovering from my initial shock, my roommate slipped of her shorts and she too was wearing a thong. I felt rather overdressed in my reguar old bikini , so later that afternoon I went to town and bought my first thong bikini. It was from Darling Rio and was a callico pink and red flower pattern.

My hubby got me my first thong bikini. At first I only wore it around the house, but I began to really like wearing it - and he appreciated it too. Eventually I began to wear it outside, in the backyard - much to the neighbors delight. We went on a beach vacation and I brought it along and I wore it on the beach. The beach had a topfree area and I notice a few other women had on thongs and were also topfree. I struck up a conversation with one of them who was sitting nearby (which hubby liked) and I took my top off and sat with her for a while. The rest of that week was all topfree for me

I got mine when I was about 17. The family was going down to Savannah GA to the beach and I hopped I'd get a chance to wear it. Since we're a nudist family no problem from the parents about me wearing it. I wore it on the beach with my friend Jen who didn’t wear hers because she thought her butt was too big. Strangely she’s a nudist (she got me into it) but very shy in the textile world. Anyway a lifeguard threatened to call the cops if I didn’t cover up so I wrapped a sarong around my waist and we went further down the beach to a more secluded spot.
It was that trip when I realized that the bible belt is worse than I thought about that stuff. That was even the same trip where me and Jen got the evil eye from a mother who brought her little boy into the women’s changing room and me and Jen were naked toweling off after showering. I didn’t care that the kid was there as he was too little to go into the men’s room by himself but she was acting like I was doing something wrong by being naked, in the women’s changing room, to dry off after a shower. I certainly didn’t want to put my cloths on over a wet swimsuit.

I got my first thong bikini when I was in my mid-twenties, after wearing speedo type suits my whole life and desiring more tan. I wore my thong for the first time on my local Lake Michigan beach in an open area away from most other people. Thongs in Wisconsin are rare and on men.... Let's just say, I'm usually the only one. Over the years, I have gotten much more comfortable wearing a thong in public. I never tire of feeling the warm sun on my bare bottom.

I have a few bathing suits. I have a few that I wear here at home at our pool and the beach and a thong one my hubby bought only for going away. I was very nervous the first few times wearing it as I felt naked but feel better about it now.
