Visible thong lines - need your opinions
Ok, was hoping to get some opinions here. I had a bunch of people over at my place yesterday, and somehow the topic got onto visible thong panty lines through clothes.
Personally, I have been in favor of trying to avoid any sign of a pantyline, if at all possible. But, every single one of the guys there thought that being able to spot a visible thong line on a female was hot. The women were split around 50-50. Some were like me, who try to make sure it doesn't show, some were indifferent, and two of the women there actually would try to make sure they have some sort of thong pantyline with any sort of light colored pants, capris, or skirts.
What are your opinions?
Note: I am talking about having a thong line through your clothes, not having a thong stick out the back of your pants.

Hi Jen
I suspect most guys will agree with the guys you were discussing this with. The reality is that we love to see thongs on girls (with the odd exception) and if that's just seeing the outline of a thong, well that's still sexy. I don't know what it is; I guess thongs are just seen to be sexy so it's sexy to know if a girl you find attractive wears them.
My advice? If you like to attract positive attention from guys and if you like them to find you attractive, don't bother trying to hide the lines... unless of course you're wearing big granny knickers!
My question to the girls: what's your opinion on spotting a thong line on a guy?

Yep, they're hot!
I also think a well-formed butt with no lines looks great, too! Butt, I love those VTLs!! 
I prefer them on women, butt there again the overall aethestics are a big part of it.
I would go on butt I'm out of time...

My opinion on them for women -- a bit tacky, except if you are wearing a thin or gauzy or slightly sheer etc. skirt and there's a hint, just a hint, that your underwear is a different color (probably darker) than your skirt.
My opinion on them for men -- who cares?

I'm usually looking for a nice butt before I'm looking for thong panty lines. But I guess if I notice a female with pants or a skirt on that would reveal such information if a close enough look were taken, then I'd have to admit that being able to tell she's wearing a thong is a turn on.
However, when I worked in a health club a few years ago, girls would come in wearing tight workout pants and sometimes I couldnt tell what they were wearing under them. And some of the pants were tight enough that I would think certainly if they had a thong on I would be able to tell. Yet I couldnt so I'd take the mental leap and assume...they weren't wearing anything underneath. And there is something alluring about that as well. But, if they were wearing a thong, then I suppose it did what it was intended to do...make me think "that girl's not wearing any underwear." Well, I dont know if thats what thong underwear was truely intended to do, but thats what it's done in my experience.
I kind of like to remain guessing at times. That way when I do spot thong line..its a little more of a novelty. But there is a time and place for it. i.e. professional or formal occasion: probably shouldnt be showing off a thong panty line. And I say that despite the fact that I'd still like to see it.

About 12 years ago Thongs were not yet popular where we live.My wife had one pair that she wore only occasionally,"because People could tell she had a thong on under her pants".One night we made a bet about something(probably a hockey game).If I won,she had to go a week without wearing panties.At the time she was taking a collage course.She had a black pair of jeans that fit very nicely.One day during this week I suggested she wear those jeans.She didn't want to because People would be able to tell that she had no panties on(at the time visible panty lines were the norm,especially from high cut bikini panties worn under tight jeans).She did wear the jeans that day and said she felt all the guys were staring at her,but got through the day.By the end of the week,she decided she liked the feel and hasn't worn panties since.
Now she wears black tight fitting dress pants regularly to work,and with out anything under them they look fantastic.You can tell the guys she works with are curious as to what she has under them(seems to be a natural guy thing).These days with G string underwear you just never can tell.These type of pants are clingy enough that any little bump is made visible through them,so its easy to tell if a women is wearing a thong.(One of the guys I work with coined a phrase,you can read the label of her thong from 20 paces)
Personally I like the smooth look,Especially under a short skirt.Seeing a thong line on a women makes me think she is confident and has some sensuality to her though.
With boy short underwear becoming popular,I don't like the lines they make under tight clothes,Kind of back to the granny panties of years past.

Geez, that was pretty overwhelmingly in agreement with what I have heard as well.
My strategy has always been to wear a regular type thong under jeans, or anything darker, and then anything that is light colored or very clingy, I would go with a very stringy thong or a g-string. Of course, there are some white pants and shorts I have where it is impossible to hide it completely.
Maybe I will try wearing more of a regular thong under tight pants or clingy clothes to show a little line and I'll see if I get some more stares/attention! (don't worry, I'm not talking about wearing polka-dots under white pants!!)
Regular thongs are more comfy than g-strings anyway, so there is the added advantage.
