Posing
hey all, I thought i would put this post up as I have just enjoyed one the best experiences of my life and wanted to share it .
A couple of weeks back I was presented with the opportunity of having a phot set taken in a proper proffesional studio by a friend of a friend. It was actually something that i had thought of doing a few times before just to have some really beautiful and sexy photos to look back on when I am older.
Initially I planned to go down to lingerie and bikini etc, with maybe some topless also, but when I got there and got into the shoot I felt so comfy that I plucked up teh courage to go completly nude and have to say it was the most amazing experience. I felt so invigorated and free and empowered, it was so awesome.
I was wondering if anyone else here has ever had photos taken like that or would consider doing it presented with the opportunity because I for one would say "go for it"
Thanks for listening
Hugs Sam xxx

Re: Posing
Sort of ... if you'll note my avatar actually is a painting we commissioned. We granted it to a non-local artist who came through town for a festival (there are several throughout the year in our metropolitan area which attract dozens of artists) and it was done mainly through photographs, wherein she created this idealized scene in which to place me.
I guess you satisfactorily resolved the issue of identity -- either you had great confidence that the existence of these photos would not come to light, or you are in a position of security in your community and professional life that even if people knew of these there would not be negative repercussions. That was our main concern and why we chose an artist from far away. The painting does hang in my husband's study, but few people ever are granted admittance to it by him and certainly they are individuals that are discrete.
P.S. I think this post will beat temporally the first one from a male that inevitably will read, "why don't you show them to us."

Re: Posing
Dear Sam,
great that you made this experience and that you could enjoy it so much!
For me I must say so long as I´ve this job here I would not pose nude or topless (and that has nothing to do with shyness or being prude as you can imagine).
It´s another case if some of my students would surprise me topless at the beach - or on this avater pic Than they´ve simply something to watch and to talk - but they know that I made no striptease for their excitement.
Another case are in my eyes normal private pics, too: I´ve no problems that my hubby enjoys to make pics from my nude boobs at the beach - and that he become excited while doing this. This is just a part of my private life.
But posing as a nude model is for me only thinkable in circumstances of another job.
But this should really not discourage you!
Bare hugs to you, too
yours Nicci

Re: Posing
My man, as you know, shoots nudes and less. All of the shots he posts, he has permission to do so. ( www.ForJoyPhotos.com )
It is understandable that women fear pics we get circulated against a woman's wish.
However I must say - there are photographers such as my man who are *safe* and will not circulate pics. For example, he recently shot a woman who wanted bathing suit shots. The suit became transperant when wet. They looked lovely. However after seeing the shots she felt they revealed too much. He thus refuses to show those shots to anyone, oher than me - and they will go no further.
Now here is the problem. Our home was robbed! and stolen was the computer that those shots are on! Who is to say what will happen to the shots now???

>Our home was robbed! and stolen was the computer that those shots are on!
That's a problem and kind of what I was referring to. I wouldn't think you'd go to anybody to have such photos done but somebody with a a good reputation and with recommendations who would be unlikely to exploit such photos. However, there is always the unexpected like your unfortunate episode. Just to avoid somnething accidental like that, when he got a new computer last time my husband removed the hard drive from the one being replaced (which had the nude/topfree photos of me) and kept it, even after erasing it with a special program that claims to really wipe clean hard drives.
But, as we know from the celebrity world there are some photographers who were honest in the past, but if they discover one of their past clients becomes famous, the temptation for quick, big bucks can lead to revelation. Also, and the main reason why we chose a non-local artist, just might be simple carelessness in mentioning to somebody that she did a nude of Elizabeth, who then metions it somebody else and so on which may mean nothing to them but eventually somebody to which it does hears it and that person may use it against you for political, social etc. reasons. That's kind of the position we're in.
>did you have many photos taken and then just choose the best one?
No, she used several and made a composite (maybe a little idealized ) portrait where I am sitting nude on a rock in the sea (as you can kind of tell from the avatar). We have all the photos which are digital.
>Might put one on my avatar tho
Maybe that will satisfy those male posters and lurkers who I suspect are here as much to see the avatars as to learn about and to help disseminate topfreedom.

Re: Posing
I have gone to a place that does 'boudior' shots and had some nude photos taken for my husband. They came very nice really - the studio had several different scenes you could choose from - on a bed, in a bathroom or in some comfortable chairs.

Re: Posing
Good topic and helpful responses--mostly pointing out that posing for topless or nude photos isn't risk free and should be approached as an individual choice within a real-world context. Thankfully, we're all different!
I've posed mostly for my favorite photographer--my husband. We have some very nice and very tasteful nudes photos of me displayed in a few places in our home. I've also posed for an out-of-town photographer who did some art shots where my face wasn't fully visible. About ten years ago, I also posed for a nude sculpture--also out-of-town artist and the sculpture is beautifully displayed in a garden setting in a large city in Texas. Anyone who knows me would immediately know it is me, because it's life-size and includes a good representation of my face. But only our friends know to visit it.
I enjoyed posing, but I've also been quite careful in choosing the artists and being comfortable in how the finished product would be used.
