 I do not understand???
Background: In the past I have posted about the large number of male voices on this board particularly as women struggle to become comfortable with top-freedom.
Today: I was with my man at the nude beach in So CA that we have enjoyed. Many of us were nude, some clothed -- lots of fun....
A group of young ladies came -- clearly wondering about the beach which borders a textile beach. After a while they decided to stay on the edge and watched the nude volleyball game...
Why did a couple of nude guys approach these ladies who clearly were curious and were taking their time to decide to join the fun and get topless ? Did they think they were going to make it easier for these ladies who were wondering?
It did not take long for the the young ladies to leave.
Do guys really think they are going to help in this way?

I think a good protocol would be if the women remain clothed in some fashion on a CO beach, then it is not inappropriate for nude males to strike up non-sexual conversations. But when they were at the edge of and on the textile beach, then that clearly would come across as creepy.

If the nude beach was on the edge of a textile beach then it seems reasonable to assume sooner or later someone who was nude might approach that part of the beach. I guess it just depends on if they crossed onto the textile part while nude or not.

While you pass through the textile area to get to the nude portion, due to the geography of the beach the two generally are not right up next to each other. You have to make a deliberate effort to get to the nude portion.
Sometimes textiles will be nearby, and generally what happens is that the woman will eventually shed her top, and not sit up or walk around.
It feels like men think they are going to get women to be nakied by pushing themselves onto women. I felt sorry for these young women.

I have been on nude beaches where there is only a line separating the nude and textile portions of the beach. Presumsably the textile people next to the line are there at least partly in order to look at the nudies. This situration exists at Gunnison Beach at Sandy Hook in New Jersey, and at Davis Park on Fire Island in New York.

I doubt if they even thought they were helping. Their interest was most likely purely their own.

Sun Fun,
Were the males who approached the girls part of the volleyball people? I'm afraid that those males do that whenever pretty women they don't know stop to watch for a while, and even when they're just passing through the area trying to find their spot to set up. Males are never invited to join in their games, which are highly organized and pretty in-group/out-group. But let one or more women come near and it's, "Hey! Wanna play volleyball with us?" Others of us there know it as a pickup line, and we're really disgusted because we know it can scare off women who are just trying to get the feel of a nude beach.
It does make young women feel put upon and uncomfortable, and I'm not surprised they left. Dang!

Hey Chuck
No - the ones I saw were all single guys, not part of the volleyball game. One even asked for one of the girls to put lotion on his back.
It appeared to me that these guys scared off these young ladies, some of whom appeared to want to experiment with topfreedom.
I of course do not know their whole story as I did not talk to them. I only noticed their body language and appearance of curiosity.
