Definitely not the place to be topfree
http://www.shreveporttimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080904/NEWS01/80904008/1060
(there are comments below the article and unless more have been added to bump it off the page one said she had been arrested before for having parties where tweens were drinking, so that may have had something to do with this.)

Yet at Mardi Gras, almost anything goes.
The great state of Louisiana seems to have double standards, too.

What was this about? Either the article is already gone, or the link doesn't work.

It had been working, but obviously not anymore. Here's another account of the incident:

She certainly made matters worse for herself. Never resist the police or use obscenities.
She should have just covered up, apologised and cooperated with police. They would have very little to charge her with and may have chosen to let her go with a warning.

Can't blame her for being mad, but yeah, it's never wise to aggravate the police. In an ideal world their personal opinion of you wouldn't influence how they carry out their duties... but we don't live there. At best they're only human so making them mad isn't going to help your situation any.

Since when should a woman submit to the police when theyve done nothing wrong? The police need to learn to stop hassling people and mind their own business unless the person is actually breaking a law.

The police personal opinion is irrelevant. Only thing that matters is their duty and the law.

Since Adam ate the Apple.
We live in the real world, Mike, police are no better than the rest of us, all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
What that means is that the police (as well as everyone else) will not always behave as they should. When you (or anyone) gets arrested and has done nothing wrong, if they cooperate they will get off lightly, if they start being abusive toward the police the police can make a case against them.
(And, Mike, I think you meant "she's" not "theyve" (sic) its the woman who has done nothing wrong, not the police.)

"if they start being abusive toward the police the police can make a case against them."
The making a case part comes after they have beaten the hell of of you for "resisting".
Don't piss them off.
