Help finding Caribbean topless islands
My hubbie and I are planning a month long trip to the Caribbean and I only ever wear the bottom bit of my bikini or a thong - so am desperate to find a couple of islands that we can visit in confidence that I won't get any hassle. We are initially looking at Antigua and St. Lucia, but any suggestions would be appreciated.

Nice to find again another female who´s wearing everytime only the bottoms, too! Btw: It sounds like you come from Europe?
Especially the French islands in the Carribean are very topless friendly, especially St. Bart(hélemy) and Guadeloupe - and also the Dutch islands. At my visits to Guadeloupe I found always a large majority - and I mean really: a large majority - of topless or totally nude females at the beaches.
In the Dom. Republic it is at least in the large tourist resorts no problem to be topless all the day long: there´re since some years many European tourists and many European females are feeling uncomfortable at a place where it isn´t possible to loose the top. The same thing can be said from the large Mexican tourist resorts at the Carribean, especially Cancun.
I don´t know how they handle it in Cuba but the more American influenced islands like the Bahamas (well, they´re not directly a part of the Caribbean, too) are very prudish. In the opposite of their well sounding name the Bahamas are no traveling place for me (and I think strongly, for you not, too): they´re expecting there seriously that we should take a top with us and strip this damned scrap of textile  on when we´re at the beach! Maybe they´ve enough rich American tourists so that they don´t need Europeans
I wish to you (and to your hubby ) a very nice trip and much, much fun!  Please, don´t come back without a tanlineless African skin colour!  And than, please, tell us here your adventures!

Thanks for the information Nikki - I admit I find it very strange that the Americans won't show off their boobs, which harm no-one, yet are quite happy to own a gun and kill someone.
We have had trips to the Dominican Republic and Mexico, which I love, where I had no problems, and again, the same in most European countries where nudity isn't an issue - I would go to completely nude resorts, but my hubby is a bit shy and prefers to keep his shorts on.

Than let him know that he´s hiding the best part of a man (perhaps the only good and interesting part of a man - oh yeah!!! ) and keep him out of his trousers!
But if nothing else works: wearing only a g-string is being in fact nude because this few straps around your hips are hiding naturally nothing. And it makes me often really horny to be in-fact-nude at a textile beach. So take only your g-strings on your Caribbean journey! No bikini bottoms and of course no tops! You will have a great time (and your hubby, too, I bet ).

When we go to Islands such as the Dominican Republic/Punta Cana - we make sure we stay at a Spanish owned resort as there will be more guest top free, at least in our experience. We also love the French Side of St. Martins. The far side of Orient is nude. have not been there in a few years, but before this beach became more populated we loved taking a morning stroll on the beach nude. Enjoy and tell us about your trip.

I'm pretty sure I posted this elsewhere, but there is no problem with topfreedom on Antigua on its western side, towards the middle part away from the all-inclusives. There's also a CO beach on the southwest side.
P.S. I know a lot of American women who don't go topfree and who don't own a gun, much less ever shot and killed anybody. I'm sure I could sit here and rattle off a bunch of stereotypes about non-Americans but I prefer to learn something about other cultures and interact with people from them rather than spout off ignorant generalizations.

There is a topfree friendly resort in the Bahamas on the island of Freeport. It is the Viva Wyndham Fortuna resort. All inclusive food and drinks, beautiful beachs, and topless sunbathing allowed. -It is also very affordable-maybe $175.00 American per night for a couple.

Playa del Carmen (40 miles south of Cancun) is absolutely topless friendly. My wife and I stayed there last august and 60% of all women were topless.
In the both sides of St. Maarten, in the Dutch Antilles (Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire), British Virgin islands (Antigua, Tortola, etc), French islands and Punta Cana (Dominican Republic) topless is perfectly accepted.

Since Ur post came directly after mine _ am wondering if I said something that upsets U?
I personally prefer interacting with people from different parts of the world. Since the board is about top-freedom - I speak of my many experiences of a more accepting attitude amongst people from different countries than I have experienced in my own country when top-free, my own country being the mid-west and most recently Southern California of the USA.
For example, recently I spent some time in the San Diego area - at the Beach, at Balboa Park, and at San Clemente. I have been away from Southern California for almost a decade and found that I was only one of a few women enjoying sunny days with out a bra, and I saw no other women top free. The culture seems far more conservative here than a decade ago. However, when I have been at the Islands I reported above - most women did not bother with bras, and I was never alone being topless.
