Re: Rosters

setting a roster should make all those not on the first squad train harder if you think about it. but in response to you being upset about no one showing up for the meetings everyone needs to step up and go for an hour or two when they don't have classes. but you also have to understand some people are not on campus during that time. still need to be focusing on playing, getting the word out we have a club (that is pretty damn good compared to other teams college and local)

Davis! good to see you on here.

I agree with you Davis. It can only be "set" to a certain extent. Sometimes people can't go to every event for various reasons so the roster has to be tweaked a bit.

And for those that want a set roster- you need to start showing up to both meetings and practices.

Re: Rosters

the main point is the why other people do it. the teams are basically locked in already based on the last couple of tourny sign ups

i understand work and class interfering with your ability to show up at the meetings. that being said i dont believe the im not going to waste my time is an acceptable attitude to have. i can go to most meetings. its the not playing thats getting me upset

davis- you're going to have to find people that want to play just like we're doing.

Re: Rosters

completely agree with you on going to the meetings.

as everyone knows i can't go. and i can't force them to go.

if people don't want to go, we won't be a club much longer and we definitely won't get funding.

the officers MUST be attending (or figuring out a way to get 3 people there).

Re: Rosters

In the handbook there are rules that say you cannot have more than one team per club. However the SCO seemed to have no problem when we entered two teams before. I plan on getting to the bottom of this so that we know how many teams we can organize.

I also want to talk to our advisor, Kevin, about any potential issues with making set teams. The not being able to refuse people deal brings some questions as to whether or not we can have permenent teams and maybe tryout/applications. I also plan on talking to Kevin about this soon.

Idealy, we could have two teams with 3 subs that could sub for either team when needed. 13 core guys/girls that would be expeced to make it to most practices and every tournament. What do you all think about this setup?

Re: Rosters

all those issues were sort of worked through last semester when john and mike joined up we finally had enough people to reliably get at least 2 teams for most cases.
