Fundraising
We need money. Now that it's cold is the best time to get a few bucks for when it warms up again.
I was thinking we could work the concessions for a basketball game. I'll talk to a guy I know in the Athletic Department to see what we can do/how that works.
This would be more for the Spring, and we could do it a couple times, but a car wash would make us bank. I know back home (in the country), you can make $500 in a day. Around here with all of the cars, we could do that in a half day.
Any other ideas? Who's in to make some money?

im up for doing the basketball games, but i dont think college kids would be up for paying us to wash their cars. If you guys are willing I can work out a deal with Lambda Chi because we as a fraternity were going to be working some UMD basketball games, and next season, ravens football games.

JT- we're not going to wash college kid's cars......rather everyone else's (soccer moms, etc). we all know students won't pay someone to wash their car.
I've seen high school teams do car washes at the Exxon on York Rd near the Colony.
I'm still checking out the bball games. Not sure if you could do MD's games b/c I think that's reserved for their students. It'd be a lot easier to do our own bball games.

ive done work at UMD game's before. and i got a phone number to call about ravens games so im gonna give them a call and see what we can do tomorrow.

yea let me know about the Raven's games. I know you have to have a few people (20 or more) to really make some money.
but i'm telling you- car wash in the spring...will make us plenty if done right.
and it's a chance to see kennon in his man thong.
