Dear Members,
The Administrator has come to a decision which will see any new member registering with Trackwest Forum being limited to make the "First" post in the Introductions section of the forum to gain membership and have their username added to the members list.
They will NOT be able to read any posts or make their first post anywhere on the forum, until the above step has been completed.
We do spend quite a lot of time and "effort" trying to encourage and remind newcomers to make intro posts telling us about themselves (State and Suburb is enough)
This information in turn, helps other members of the forum provide the correct answers which in some cases are location dependant; it also shows signs of mutual respect and appreciation of this forum and our community by the newbies joining our ranks.
The best way to join is to complete the application form and then REMEMBER YOUR LOGIN NAME AND PASSWORD return to the clubs web page and log into the forum from there. Be sure to bookmark the "forum" so that its easier for you to return.

Okay...more rules....  now I can't get into this area. Michael this is all too hard and one new member is about to pull out.
My view is this is a dog tracking club not MI5....please...this computer hater is getting

I agree with shetan and will no longer bother with this site, I was mistaken in my beleive it was a Trackwest site, sily me, bad luck for anyone who may wish to read what trackwest is aboutbefore deciding to join on saturdays, now it is just a forum for an elistest group.

Sorry you feel like that, its not an elistest group. It getting to be pretty boring as we few just seam to be the only ones posting, current the list has 15 members, there sure are not 15 people posting to help make the site more interesting.

Thanks Perkons for your input. I belong to several forums some of which are dog ones and all are club forums.
Some I had to fill out an application and send it to the webmaster who in return replied accepting my application and advising of my password.
Once you log in you are free to enter any topic anywhere on the menu and add your comments this has to be one of the most restricted forums apart for 'bikie club' ones that I have experienced.
Marilyn I am not surprised there are only four or five members using the forum. Maybe its time for the club to rethink the message that is being sent not only to possible new members but also to existing ones.

Just one more question I don't understand why as a financial and active member of TrackWest I can have access to all topics but VTS section on this forum this one only is blocked...what on earth is the point????
It clearly gives weight to Perkons comments.

The problem with not being able to read the VST pages is a new one and one that I have reported to the Runboard Group.

Hi Everyone,
I too, am not a great computer person but even I have worked out how to get here!
Perhaps when someone is experiencing a problem they could just request assistance and offer some POSITIVE suggestions. What I love about tracking and Trackwest is the absence, usually, of the negativity, and quick to criticize attitude often present in other dog sports.
I would like to thank Michael and the other computer literate people for taking the time to put together this great website, the photo's are terrific! Lets keep this forum for questions, information and positive communication, no-one wants to read a list of complaints. Everyone needs to keep in mind that this is a club which exist only because of volunteers and the hours of work they put in. Please appreciate them, they do a great job!
