Place to buy metal tube
I want to go ahead and start building my new bumper, as well as cutting off the beaten up rusted through rocker panels, and am looking for someplace to buy the metal to work with. Any suggestions where to buy from? I live in Marion, and have driven past Marion Iron Co, but never called them to see if that is something they sell, or if they are just a scrap yard.
Thanks,
Matthew

Re: Place to buy metal tube
I'd give them a call at least. I've never bought tube from them, but have bought angle iron and flat stock from them. They seem to be reasonable.

Re: Place to buy metal tube
Yeah, so I'm replying a few months after you posted. Yes, Marion Iron does sell new material. It's on the North side of 10th St., across the street from Goodwill. Another good place to buy steel is Storm Steel out on 6th St. SW. Yeah, I know it's kind of a drive, but price shop. Sometimes it's worth it. BTW, talk with Everett at Marion Iron, Jerry can be a real jerkoff sometimes!
Cheers!
