Blanding - Moab

Chip's Grand Tire & American Car Care Center at 312 North Main in Moab gave us outstanding customer service. We needed it after bashing around on Metal Masher.
High point of this trip was 2 days near Blanding. Ran Arch Canyon first. Moderate trail with short hike to 2 arches & several stops near Indian Ruins. Hotel Rock Trail, from the Arch Canyon side, was difficult. Spotters got a lot of work & walking. Spectacular views, ruins at Hotel Rock, hard to find trail out to Blanding.
Nothing special to report about Moab. Trails, weather, food & beer were as good as any other trip report we have seen.

Lester any photos?

I have to give Chirps a thumbs up as well. They do good work at a fair price!

Some pictures in the digital camera. My passenger needs to sort them, then figure out how to post a few good ones.

Picture captions are reversed. Cherokee with the wheel in the air is on the main trail to Hotel Rock. We went a little left & climbed not quite so much. Trail had a couple similar climbs.
TJ is on Rock Chucker, a side line off of Metal Masher.

How did you like Metal Masher? We went on it the wrong direction in the dark about 5 years ago. I just remember a steep climb on it. I had to take a pull up it emoticon

Metal Masher is just about the limit of what I want to do on 33's. We were glad to skip the widow maker section of the trail. We all got thru without a winch or strap all week.
