Re: HI

Hi Jessie,

Welcome to the board. As you've probably figured out, we don't meet much currently. Since 600 acres was closed down to us, we have't found anywhere to wheel.

Some of us make trips out west, but with gas prices even that has slowed down.

On the positive side, we're always happy to meet new people. I'm thinking we should get another club meeting together soon for some pizza, perhaps an adult beverage.

As far as level B roads, the best map I have found listing all of them in Iowa is... of course I can't find it right now. (I will, and post the name)

It's one of the hunting/outdoor guides you can get at wal-mart. I've had mine for years. It has county by county hunting, fishing, etc., but also has a map of every road in the county, and there is a legend showing level B roads.

Eventually I'm going to have them listed for local counties, but haven't gotten that done yet.

Re: HI

im up for some drinks.
i lived in benton county most my life and know just about every level b around there. need to get a linn county map and venture out but im not goin out without someone else. now all you can do is play in the snow. i want to go to miobi but was told my rig was to nice, that'll have to change. i'd be happy with going there just to play were i could and watch some badass rigs. anyone here been there? let me know.
hit me up whenever someone needs a extra person to go wheeling.

Re: HI

Whatever you do, stay of Hindman Road north of County Home Road in Linn Co. The guy that lives just to the east of that intersection on County Home Rd WILL come out in his John Deere gator and block the exit and call the Sheriff's Dept. The Sheriff's Dept WILL respond and have a word with you. I went out there one day to pull a friend out of the ditch on that road and had that happen to me. It's happened to several friends too. Apparently they don't take too kindly to us tearing up their access roads to fields

Re: HI

no **** i loved pizza ranch. there's the marion one still right?
as for level b's IT is NOT illegal to go through a level b (unless closed) as long as you don't over do the tearing up of the road, but if you go off the road way or turn around and go back through it well that's a no no. my whole families in law enforcement and one uncle is a county mantainer driver along with my buddies dad, i tear their roads up all the time.
so i could give a **** less if some jackhole farmer come out and calls the cops on me for not breaking the law. half the time the cops could care less, but then you got the d-heads that try and give a scare.
but how bout that pizza and beer

Dunno about the Marion store. Have not been past there in many months. Might just go for a ride to investigate.
