trail ride in May or June

Is anybody interested in going to Rockport, Hannibal, or the Badlands in May or June? I would be up for a weekend or down and back in one day. If anybody has a date or place in mind, please post up.

I'll be installing 3" lift next week so it would be nice to go and try it. Weekend of 5-6 or 12-13 (rather this one)?

I can't do May 6th, but the rest of the days look good. Would you be interested in going to The Cliffs? I have not been there yet and it looks to be only three hours away.

The Cliffs sonds good to. Actually because it's mostly interstate that's almost exactly the same time as to Hannibal Rocks:

It looks like the plan is Saturday, May 12th, leaving Cedar Rapids early and coming back that evening.

Anybody else?

well, i'd be interested in goin to the new Hannibal park. probably can't go in May though. from guys i've talked to, Cliffs is definitely a short wheelbase park, and the mud holes are deep and wide. so if it's wet, and you aren't prepared, it's suggested you have plenty of help, straps, and winches. as far as Rockport goes , the place is "ok" in my book, but not great ( not sure how it will compare to the new place in Hannibal) i think Hannibal will be more fun as time goes on. if i was to drive that far, (Rockport) i would suggest the extra 2 hrs. and go to the Badlands in Indiana, which i am heading to the first weekend of june, if anyone wants to tag along. all these places are worth goin to at least once, i would say. that way you can figure out what you like. just my .02. post up, if you go to Hannibal, i want to go sometime for sure, Scott.....

Additional 2h in my case means staying overnight and thats something I'd rather not to do (at least for some time) so for me Badlands is off, only Cliffs or Rockport/Hannibal

I wish I had the time to do a weekend trip to the Badlands, but probably not until July.

I have heard about the mud at the Cliffs, so if it rains a lot the week before, we may want to consider Hannibal.

I went to Hannibal on January 1st. At the time there was quite a bit for the extreme type of offroading. I assume they have been building more moderate trails and I look forward to another trip down there.

I went to the Cliffs once. It was definitely a SWB park. The trails, if you could call them trails, were extremely tight. They were better suited to 4-wheelers than Jeeps at the time. The trail guides drove thrashed zuk's mostly. That was a couple of years ago, so maybe they have changed. I think Hannibal Rocks has the most potential (if you can't make it to the Badlands).
