yeah, Badlands is not a day trip. need to spend a couple days there for the fun and to see most trails. ( it is open until 7 p.m. on saturdays during the summer now) of course, Rockport is a total of 7 hours round trip, give or take a little, and that's a lot to do in one day counting trail time, or the lack there of, if you start out late. to answer Cory's question, i'm plannin doin at least two days, ( Badlands) probably friday and saturday. It looks like the plan for next weekend is meeting at 7:00 in North Liberty to head to Hannibal, returning that evening. So far there are three of us planning to go and we'll probably be hitting moderate trails.
