Attica Update
i checked some prices at local bed and breakfast, and some motels and they were quite pricey to the tune of 75 bucks or so and higher. ( B and B looks real nice with hot tub etc.) if push comes to shove cheaper motels can be had in Danville Ill., about 40 mi. away.so i checked the Badlands camp site and it looks much improved and modern compared to the grass field it used to be. camp site with electricity (i can run my little heater which i am sure i will need) is only 7 dollars!! they have showers and indoor facilities also, heck with the savings i can afford to eat at "swanky "restaurants. if you want to eat cheap, McDonalds is right down the street close to the car wash.

Kyle, i hope the guy at the campground is correct that the tent sites have electricity. i asked him if reservations were needed and he said no. still not sure when to leave on friday,if we get there early it will be hard to set outside the gate and not go in, listening to all the vehicles cruise around. it will wind up being approx., a half of a day on friday and or sunday if you want to look at it that way. if the weather is nice all the time it won't matter but if sunday will be iffy, then hitting it hard friday might make sense. even if it's wet you can run in the quarries instead of doing nothing. but it will have to be awful wet, since after all we do have 4WHEEL DRIVE. Not worried about the trails if it is raining a bit. Just sleeping on the cold wet ground :beer:
Luckly our tent doesn't leak and we have warm sleeping bags... so we should make it through :devil:
