MIOBI Labor Day?
Anybody planning on going? Unless something changes, I'm going to try and head down Saturday morning, stay in the camp ground if the weather is cooperating, then head back Sunday afternoon.

yeah i was thinkin about saturday and sunday too if my son comes home that weekend, and i get my jeep ready. probably not gonna camp though. havn't been wheelin since june in Rockport. :banghead:

I'm going to try and get on the road by 1000am Saturday if you want to caravan down. I'm trailering the CJ since I'm going to head to Des Moines on Sunday, and I don't want to risk being stranded if I break something.

We will be there on sunday at 12 (noon) for the reduced rate. have other plans for saturday. cant go monday.

yeah Cory i thought about the reduced fee deal, but i want to be home on monday, and i figured i could get get 2 full days in for the full fee, vs. probably only 1 full day on the reduced rate,(sat. noon to sun. noon) since i would probably leave midday monday. be nice to have a day rate really. oh well, see ya there if all goes well. oh supposedly there are some new trails that have been cut, probably from somewhere between crazy and impossible. should at least make for some good pics from the high horsepower boys! Scott.

should be a good time for all. havent been to miobi before but worth checking out. sounds like there is terrain for everyone: rocks, shale, creek beds, mud, mud holes, hill climbs, timber trails, cracks, ruts, etc.
no atv's
the big Horsepower Rigs with 40"+ boggers could be knarly on the muddy hill climbs if it's slick. the weather today may help make things more interesting?
we are heading down sunday from newton after visiting parent in-laws.

short answer is no, for me. just booked a motel room. even though they have changed the forcast to only a 20% of rain, i'm gonna snooze in comfort.

I may end up camping Sat evening, just depends on the weather. If it looks crappy, I have a free bed in Des Moines. It's a pain to pack up and then come back, but I've spent enough of my time cold, wet and tired after sleeping on the ground, so I try to avoid it when ever possible.
