Chippenham & Gilllngham Cancelled... Again
After following procedures and informing the Kennel Club this morning, it is with regret that the Committees of both Chippenham and Gillingham have had to cancel their re-organised show on 11 and 12 October 2008.
In a joint statement, they said, 'The weather has been against us and, after visiting the venue on Sunday morning and finding it waterlogged) and and further discussions with the ground staff, in the interest of safety for the dogs and their handlers, we have decided that it was the best thing to do.'
To help the Clubs with the mammoth task of letting people know, if you have read this notice could you please send an email or text to both Chippenham and Gillingham - the numbers are below - by 6.00pm on Wednesday, 8 October, stating your name and ring numbers for ease of identification.
Refunds will be available after expenses have been defrayed to cover costs of the preparation of the show. As you can appreciate this will take time as there are joint show costs to work out as well as individual club show costs.
