Club Match 10th Jan VS Wallingford

What a great day it was. Very cold weather, but warm atmosphere. Wallingford were as usual very welcoming. Thanks Ian and Jacky.

The UpAndOver gang was there in force, and we all had a nice time, everyone was supporting each other and watching everyone running, it was really good. Lots of cheering.

Despite some good results from UpAndOver, Wallingord beat us. They produced some very good runs, but also had a higher number of entries which I believe meant they were able to count their best runs in the results.

I think we will have a rematch on the 22nd Feb ( date and details to be confirmed by Mark and Karen ).

Some of the results I can remember ( I am sure I have missed out a few ; and apologies if it's not right but forgot pen and paper ):
Nigel & Kelt winning the Novice Power & Speed; Karen & Torro 2nd.
Sandrine & Bliss 2nd in Nov Jumping; Bridgitte running Sharon's Fleece 3rd.
I believe we dominated the Senior results with Mark and Kodi winning Senior Power & Speed ; Bridgitte and Flint winning another Senior class ( Agility I think ) ; Tim & Jed a first or a second place in Senior ?? ( Jumping ? )
Ruth & Kimba 2nd in one of their Starter classes, as well as 2 clear rounds in their other 2 classes.
Fifo and Meg won a Starter class (I think)
Tim & Mimi 3rd in the Nursery Helter Skelter; one of our Junior members was 2nd in the same class ( young girl who runs a Spaniel - apologies i cannot remember her name, please someone help!! ).

Results aside, as as we all know results are not everything, a lot of positives for everybody!!!
My Jay for example did a lovely Novice jumping run with just 5 faults for a pole down; and was very well-behaved throughout the day.
For some of our newest members ( Katie and Dino for example ) it was their first experience of a competition and they did very well.

Please feel free to add to this post !!

I think a big round of applause is due to Kay and Jasper. He did some super clear rounds and were such a harmonious picture!

Although Bonnie didn't go clear we did finish all 3 classes without losing her attention too badly, and she went like a dream in the Helter skelter - unfortunately just clipping one pole. Considering what she was like last Feb when we started agility I was totally delighted with her behaviour!

It was lovely to be there with everyone and was very warm and friendly, with everyone supporting one another! the food was good too!

Yes it was a great day and everybody did brilliantly.
The results did not really show how well as there were a couple of unfortunate poles and uncharacteristic mistakes but very good runs. It was great to have so many new people there too. You made us very proud.

Skye got his first ever clear rounds in jumping and helter skelter. I was so relieved and proud I blubbed (such a softie). Not going to mention the Agility other than please can we have safety nets and safety harnesses for vertigo challenged doggies!
