Wiz I just got a notice today to upgrade to AVG 8.0. Do you know anything about this?

There is a new update available now, the one you are mentioning here. I've heard there is a few problems at the moment with the 8.0 version so I'm going to wait until the end of May to download it, gives them time to iron out the bugs etc.

Not sure though if the upgrade will be added when AVG states that there is an update to download, it may add the 8.0 version or it could be a seperate download from the updates, we'll have to wait and see

Well, I've been trying to apply an update for my AVG manager without success these last few days, restarted but nothing.

I've decided to use Avast Free Edition instead. I won't be using AVG anymore. With the new 8.0 version you soon won't be able to get updates for 7.5 so changing now would be beneficial for you.

You can download the latest version of Avast by clicking on the link tag below, once there click on the GREEN section (top-right corner) for the latest version.

If you want advise on how to un-install AVG 7.5, visit the Software Tutorials section in the Workshop (under Software / Virus / Spyware Tools section) for a friendly guide

No I didn't but but people can still download the 8.0 version from here then get the update once it's installed. Can't do much work here today as I'm at work emoticon
