Vista - Can't Format Drive C

Vista again Wizard. Because of the fiasco with the iTunes program I decided to format the drive and install XP again. So into the command mode and format C: and had this message :
"Access denied as you do not have sufficient privileges.
You have to invoke this utility running in elevated mode."

Any idea what they are on about.

It's ok Wizard as I have found out how to do this. Now can I ask can you install a downloaded program on your desktop from the command prompt?

Yes if you know the {path} where it is stored. For example, if your program you want to install is on your C: drive and it's in a folder called software and the setup or .exe program is called gupsetup

You would then type in the path in the run window.....

C:\downloads\software\gupsetup.exe
