Mobile Drives Qeustion

If I clone my C drive to a mobile hard drive, byte for byte, then plug the mobile drive into a different computer can I access the mobile drive as if I were sat at my own computer? Run the installed programs on it for example.

No problem. I don't think that would ever happen on here, being ignored that is.

Have another question. I have just seen the playlist at the bottom of the page asnd love it but what happens if say six different people choose six different songs all at once? Do thay all play together or does each person only hear his/her choice?

Hi CDI, I think I can answer that one for you, People can click on whatever song they like and listen to that song, So no they don't play together, you can edit the settings to start it playing automatically when someone comes to the site, I don't like that setting though, rather let people play it themselves.

Wiz will get back to you on that first question as soon as he get's back! emoticon

Re: Mobile Drives Question

Thanks for the reply but I still have a question. If I choose a track am I the only one that can hear it? I'm asking because I have installed it on my forum and whichever track is chosen it is heard by all. Not only that but there can be two or three tracks playing at once. Dreadful. I'm beginning to wondert if I have downloaded the right code.

if you set up your play list so the songs come randon everyone will hear a different song, but if you set up your list so the songs play in order everyone will hear the same songs unless the members go to the playlist on your page and click on song of there choice then they will hear what they want and you necessarily will not be hearing their choices...
I hope I have explained this ok for you.
but the 1st part of your question I have no clue, hopefully the pastor can advise you more on that topic... emoticon

Thanks for the extra information. I have downloaded a different set of code and installed that and am in the process of testing it out now. Do you happen to know which set of code was downloaded for this forum?

I don' know if this helps or not...but if you are using the Firefox browser and do a right click, view page source, waaaaay down at the bottom is this... about the player.....

<div style="text-align: center; margin-left: auto; visibility:visible; margin-right: auto; width:450px;"><embed style="width:435px; visibility:visible; height:270px;" allowScriptAccess="never" src="http://www.profileplaylist.net/mc/mp3player-othersite.swf?config=http://www.profileplaylist.net/mc/config/config_black_noautostart.xml&mywidth=435&myheight=270&playlist_url=http://www.profileplaylist.net/loadplaylist.php?playlist=49386167" menu="false" quality="high" width="435" height="270" name="mp3player" wmode="transparent" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" border="0"/><BR><a href=http://www.profileplaylist.net><img src=http://www.profileplaylist.net/mc/images/create_black.jpg border=0></a><a href=http://www.profileplaylist.net/standalone/49386167 target=_blank><img src=http://www.profileplaylist.net/mc/images/launch_black.jpg border=0></a><a href=http://www.profileplaylist.net/download/49386167><img src=http://www.profileplaylist.net/mc/images/get_black.jpg border=0></a> </div>

The answer is both yes and no. Primarily no because what you describe would create a master drive and the way Windows works you can only have one drive designated as the master drive at any given time. Now if the other computer had a program called Boot Commander installed you can trick the PC into thinking the mobile drive is the master drive but it gets tricky.
