… Can you move all your files that are on the flash drive and place them either on another external or internal drive.
Reason for this is that maybe you should format your drive again, then replace the files back onto it.
If it still doesn't work, I'd reformat it and take it back to Argos and get a replacement. If you have passed the 30day money back guarantee date you should still be able to replace it under the faulty goods act.
Also try a different USB port just to see if that one you are using is faulty
Re: USB Mass Storage I can't access any of my files on the 2GB to put them anywhere else but I'm wondering if it could have something to do with the file system cos somehow the 2GB file system has changed from FAT to RAW, the 1GB, that I've got in now is FAT
Hopefully it makes sense to you
USB Mass Storage The drive will show a RAW if that partition is corrupt CHPchick. Like I stated above, removing it without using the SRH tool can make file or files corrupt whilst writing data to the drive at the time it was removed.
This means that you may have to start over again I'm afraid. Recovering files from a drive that has switched over from FAT to RAW are 99.9% un-retrievable.
If your files can be redone and saved again I'd do this if it were me. I know it's a bugger to format and lose files, but to return your drive back to FAT do the following...
My Computer
Control Panel
Administrative Tools
Computer Management
Now go to....
Storage
Disk Managment group on the left, and then right click on your USB drive on the right.
From here, you should be able to remove the RAW partition and then create a new one as FAT.
