Adding a Signature

Text Signature
You can use text as a signature if you like, to insert a signature, goto:-

1. Control Panel
2. Change miscellaneous options
3. Signature (optional)

Insert your text and press 'Save Settings' at the bottom of the screen

Picture Signature
Picture signatures can be used in two ways

1. As an image
2. As an image link

If you want your picture to be a link, you can use the link to whatever website you like, this could be your own runboard for instance

Below is my signature link to my tutorial forum

To have your image in the middle or centered, then insert the code at the beginning of the code so it looks like this....

Be sure to use the closing tags afterwards, these are the closing tags...

[/img]
- Use only if have added a website link

Re: Adding a Signature

A simple enough matter one would think and something I have done many times before. Not my day today, obviously. I'm doing something wrong somewhere. I am hosting a picture at Photobucket and have put their img code into my signature as shown below but I just get the code in my post. My first day Mr Wizard and I'm at it already.

Now that's very strange. I have just previewed this message and my picture is there with the code underneath it. Now if I take the code out there is no picture, just the code.

I too can see the Picture CD and the wording 'Barchester - For Beginners' underneath it.

Is this what you wanted or do you want the link or wording to be a link ?

To make your picture a link, try this

{ remove the * from the code }

[*url=http://www.freewebs.com/barchester/index.htm][*img]YOUR IMAGE URL GOES HERE[*/img][*/url]

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To add an image and make text a link, try this....
[*img]YOUR IMAGE URL GOES HERE[*/IMG]
[*url=http://www.freewebs.com/barchester/index.htm]Barchester - For Beginners[*/url]
All sorted after your timely advice. My fault for not realising that it was the picture that was going to be the link.
Thanks a lot. :2thumb
If you have run out of room when adding some links or signature pics etc, I've added a tip on how to minimise those URL's
Click Here >> URL Compressor
